Default sacramento river delta

I am going down to sacramento for a few days and will have one day with nothing to do. I have heard that the river has some good bass fishing and was wondering if anyone might have any helpful information about it. (mainly good public access areas) I have never been to sacramento and know absolutley nothing about the area. I will be on business, so wont be able to bring my boat. any other good ideas/places to catch a few fish would be appreciated as well. thanks in advance!

Access to the Sac for bass is tough. Most of it is on private land. The 'Delta' requires a boat to fish it effectively. there are some places along Hwy 160 that you can access the N.Delta. Lots of bait/striper guys there. Some of the levee's are no parking. Watch for signs.

You'd be better off heading to Folsom lake to walk the shore line.
I just read something about Arden Pond...ever been but it's around Sac.
