Important topic. I've got a "ghost" living in my house. He has a library card and took out a loan secured by his job with the Trailblazers, both listing my house as his address. He received a note that he was in default on his loan. The lender, Household Finance didn't care. I called the Trailblazers. They've never heard of the guy. Not quite a stolen identity, but scary in it's own way.

Default nfr idenity theft info

Well iam going to try this again. I put this post up once and then it disappeared. I know it is not fishing related but it is important enough that i felt i should share it.
In order to make it fishing related just remember. If someone steals your idenity and then catches a world record class fish they will get the credit and not you,

Check out this web site. It is a non profit outfit and they will not ding you for money.

www.idtheftcenter,org

Some very good info for everyone to know.

Actually, I think if they steal my identity and then catch a world record fish, I will get the credit. That might be my best chance to get a hookup, based on my success so far this fall.

I wish someone would steal mine and get stuck with my doctor bills

Thanks for posting the link.

I had someone use my name and SSN to obtain FOUR department store credit cards, same store, in my name. Each time, they changed one letter in my last name and got approved for a new card. The store, I'll call them "Targit", never caught on. I had to call them once I got four statements in the mail. What's really unfair is the time and money I had to spend to clean things up. Just for the record, if I was doing this, I'd find someone with better credit to steal from. They couldn't have made off with much...
