Default Disturbing e mail please read.

I received a e mail that I didnot ask for or want any part of. Did any one else receive a e mail from farmkftijind@libero.it ? When I tried to reply to ask for no future e mail the address changed automatically so I received a failure sending notice.

I don't know where it comes from, but vulgar and offensive spam e-mail is way too common. You'd think that internet service providers could figure out filter that removes any mail that goes to all their clients. However, the LAST thing anyone should do is respond to this crap. The only thing a response will do is verify you address and ensure that you'll be on line for a lot more of it.

After many years of being online and recieving e-mail I have found the best way to deal with unfamiliar e-mail is to simply delete it. Don't read any of it, period, no matter how enticing it may look. Most people are under the impression that by only reading e-mail and by not responding to it there is no danger of trojans or virus, this is untrue if anything is embeded in the email. Simply delete it. If you are like me and get many unwanted e-mails daily and tire of deleting them 1 by 1 you can multiple select them by holding down the Ctrl key and click on the unwanted mail with your mouse while holding down the Ctrl key you may click on as many as you want then hit delete. If you have 5 or 10 or more in a row hold down the shift key and click on the top email then while continuing to hold the shift key down click on the bottom on this selects all mail between the 2 that can be deleted at once, if you see you have accidently selected a e-mail you want simply hold the Ctrl key down and click on that 1 e-mail and it will "un"select it but keep the unwanted for deletion.
If you didn't ask for the e-mail or do not recognize a name as that of a friend delete it.
No amount of curiosity is worth the trouble contained in some e-mail.

I no longer let my son or daugher check there email alone. I put parental controls on it, complained to AOL over and over. She gets the worse email. Viagra and X rated links all the time. It makes me so mad. What good are parental controls if those companies can still get the smut to 6 and 10 yr olds?

I used to get 4 or 5 junk e-mails a day, hardly any crude or lude stuff though. Then my server went belly up and I had to find another carrier. After calling about eight of them in the phone book I decided on "Spirit One". I've been with them about a week now and they just got a new program called "Postini" that claims to filter spam, **** , and other unwanted e-mails. You set your own preferences on the servers site from aggressive to lenient on several catagories of e-mails. Don't really know if it works yet because after changing my addy nobody knows how to find me, unless they get it off this site.

That's fun, you can't write " p.o.r.n...."

on AOL, if your wanting to get rid of ALL your spam mail... click the Mail icon upper left side, go down to mail controls and pick the screen name you want to set controls on... click on the recieve emails only from listed sources.. then "next".. it will then ask you to put in all the e-mail addresses you would allow to get through.. list your friends, and when you meet or need to get e-mail from a new person, just go back the same way and add them to the list... at the end, just click save!... you won't get anymore crud letters after that.. I finally resorted to this and its great, no more 50 letters of spam and vulgarities.. now, in internet explorer, their e-mail system has a tool that lets you build macros... you put in info for the system to look for, then you tell it what to do with it... ex: "if the subject line includes"------------ (you could put in viagra for one), action: delete or trash.... "if the subject line includes" ---------- (mortgage, or *** or anything you want to screen)... just watch your spam and the subject lines, try to pick out a common word and use it.. it works too... good luck.. I hate SPAM... it is illegal in the state of Washington and you can prosecute.. it is hard to trace a spammer, but it can be done.. your ISP also can take them to court... people are finally getting fed up with it and going after these guys... oh yes, here's another trick of theirs... they use "your" e-mail address as the return address of the spam they are sending out... then you catch heck from everyone... I traced this guy all the way to France and sent an email to his ISP with copies of what he was sending out.. they sent an apologie and said it would be investigated.. never got another from him...
