I thought ya might like a little report out of Cali.... come on down ifishers... the waters fine
I had to work in San Jose till around noon yesterday and didnt get to the ramp till about 2pm. Met up with Rob at his boat in drystorage, loaded up the gear and hopped in the boat whils we got carted over the levee by the marina staff. Started down at the lower end of Franks Tract. and 45 min into casting a basstrix I pulled up a nice 5 lbr.
Then it was dead.. we tried senkos and cranks even some frogs in froggy looking water for a little bit more with nothing happening.. took off and moved a bit farther south...
Still stossing Senkos ,Cranks , Frogs and spinnerbaits... it was slow to nothing. Then I got smashed by another 4-5 lbr on my spinnerbait
Halfway to the boat it comes off.. I look at my bait and all that is left is this.

Put somemore time in for nothing.. all I had to look at was this d00d..
Blasted off for again for and ended up in a great spot. Working into it we came up with nothing.. Rob said there are some fish here that he and john put the hurt on the day before... it was getting late by then about 6:30-7:00 so we hung out and made another run around the area. Tossing my spinnerbait I hooked into a real nice 3lbr.
Tossing again into the same area ..Bam another nice 3 lbr..
Rob was working a jig and hadnt hooked up yet.. see his line 30 feet from where it should have been and Doink.. another 3lbr.. WHOO!
All in about 5 mins.
it ended the day...

it had been a good long time I got to really toss baits for Bass.. mucho appreciation !
