Default Willamette

Any one here know of a few good spots to try for summers from Corvallis upstream to Monroe. I took the spey rod out today to a gravel bar that is just outside of Corvallis, didn't hit any fish but I saw a guy hammering the trout.

There's not much bank access to begin with. It makes for good practice casting with only a remote chance at fish.

I have a buddy that lives in Corvallis and he takes his sled upriver and gets into some excellent cutthroat fishing. Never heard of anyone catching steelies however. I would do a drift just for the trout fishing. Those cutts are not too difficult to catch, and you can catch a lot them.
