The Boards not too active these days - has any been out lately? - thinking about hearing out today if I get my work done or tomorrow -

I think we're all just waiting for spring. I know I'm itiching to get out and see if I can get a trout to rise

I saw a couple little ones rising on a costal river Monday. I even caught a few on the S*****R.

Spent a couple of days on the river in the last few - hit the Sandy from Oxbow on Thursday and wnet down the Siuslaw on Saturday - nothing to report expect a fine day on the water. Did not even see any. Had fun though! - My o-fer streak is continuing - this makes 2 summers and now almost 2 winters without one to hand - at least winters not over yet.

I spent Saturday on the Crooked - river levels were up enought ( I think ) thru Friday PM and went to 1250 by Sat PM and rising (average is around 350). Anyway, the bank trail in many places was flooded with fishing slow. I only caught three on three different flies ( woolly bugger, ESP, and green scud ), all fished in the slower pocket/holding water near the bank and behind big rocks. Absolutely great weather, though - I am toying with the idea of joining everyone in a few weeks. Hopefully for ifishers, the water will be back down then.

BTW, does anyone know if there is a published schedule for water releases out of Bowman dam into the crooked?
