Today I made my first trip of the year to the Owyhee River. On my way over, I stopped in Adrian to get my $61.50 out of state license. Jim at the market was telling us about a little maroon van with several folks that he suspected were keeping Browns. We saw the folks fishing (Bait). It looked like they might have had more lines in the water than they were allowed, but it was hard to see how many folks were hunkering in the van. Anyhow, a little while later we saw an undercover OSP truck had pulled them over. As we passed, the Trooper walked back to his truck with a plastic grocery bag full of big brown trout

. I'm glad the law was out looking today. It is only the second time in 15 years I've seen OSP patrolling for fish and game violations. Good on 'em, and I hope they hang out there more . They could run DUI roadblocks in the summer too. I like a cold ONE after fishing, but the guys that down a 12'er on the lake and then almost run over me are scary(but that's a different story).
