Default The crappie are starting to bite here!

Hello to all my Oregon friends. Especially "Crappie Chaser". These are for you! I moved recently from Oregon. Now I'm living on one the largest lake in Iowa (Lake Redrock). Been waiting for the lake to thaw and warm so we could try for some of these! Things are still a bit slow here but we happened to find these in about 2 feet of water. I hope they are starting to turn on back home!

Thanks for the offer I finally figured it out! The bigger ones have been running 13 to almost 15! It is crazy, yesterday we got a few up to 14. But today two of them were 15.25. I'm still hardly believing my eyes.

Nice slabs.

So would it be OK if a few of us showed up at your house and just set up a couple of tents in your back yard for a week or two?

Come one, come all! Actually believe it or not it really is the common size here. It seems like this early we do get a few dinks here and there but 12 is probably the average and 16 in is not uncommon at all. We figure we'll send one to mount if we get a 19 incher.

Crappie Chaser (Gary) Don't make me post more pics! I can only fish 'till Friday and then I have to turkey hunt! Ha, Ha. Glad too hear the crappie are starting with a bang this spring on Brownlee.

HAHAHAHA next time try holding them a little further away from your body. (It makes them look bigger)

I did can't ya tell! Our biggest so far is only a little over 15 in. !6 is common here but eventually I'm thinking eventually I'll tye into a 18 or even 19i inch. If that happens it will be taxidermy time!
