Default Speaking of the Crooked....

Fished the Crooked yesterday and was planning on a pretty good BWO hatch due to the weather (showers, clouds, 45-50 degrees). Unfortunately it did not come off like expected and I had to go to plan b...scuds and zebra midges...15-20 trout and whitefish later (18in beautiful rainbow to boot)...pretty successful 3 hour go.

It's kinda hit or miss right now, the river is still low but they are slowly creeping up the flow. Sweetest part of the outing was giving my first rod I ever built a workout.

Anyways, figured I would give the Metolius the next go. Stay Tuned.

Sounds like a fun day. I wish we had that kind of luck when we had the first rendezvous at the crooked.

I usually do pretty good on the Crooked. You still had a pretty good day, I bet that 18"er made your day(besides testing your rod that you built)!
