Default Lake Simtustus

My wifes family is heading to this lake in mid August....how is the fishing during the dog days of summer? More reference, I think its the resevoir behind Pelton Dam.

I have been going there for nearly 20 years now and love it! The fishing in August can be quite rewarding, you just have to send your trolling rigs down extra deep. A down rigger really helps this time of year. Best fishing is usually from Indian camp up through the narrows toward Round Butte dam. Good Luck!

The Kokes tend to get a little soft in August but smoke out really nice.

you can jig the before indian in august and still nail kokes. its not all a troll show. the pressure has sure increased over the years. they park puts on kokanee tourny's now and they sure hurt the fishing...
