Default Airflo lines

Does anyone have any experience with Airflo line?

I need to replace the line for my 5 weight and am shopping around.

Also, what is your favorite line?

I've had good luck with 444SL as well as Sci. Anglers Mastery, but this Lazerline i have now is garbage.

Thanks,
Mike

I have 2 of the multi-tip lines made by Airflo and they are really high quality. I really like the new Orvis Wonderlines too.

I have an air flow line and really like them. I have had a line tip failure on the super sink lines. The loop that connects the leader broke off in alaska granted I was using a 10# leader and had caught many coho with it but... I don't think that it should have broken.

I think there is a five year warranty so I should have no problem getting a new one. It was an easy fix just knotted in a new loop with the sink tip line and was worked great ever since I wish I could afford three more of the lines for a back up and the wifes rod. They are really convienant.

I bought an Airflo WF floating line for my 5 wt last year. It sank! I mean 6 inches below the surface. I could cast it farther than my 444 Lazerline though. I tried dressing it, no help. I took it back to the shop I got it from, and they sent it back. About a month later, I got a replacement, and it sinks too. I liked their multi tip, but when I wore it out I replaced it with a Rio multi tip, and it is WAY better. I say stick with Rio and Cortland.

With the multi-tip lines, are you guys using this line for everything, or do you have a regular floating line on one spool and the multi-tip set-up on another spool?

I haven't really looked at the multi-tips and didn't know if the floater part was okay to use by itself for normal dry and nymph river duties, or if you needed to have both as above?

Thanks,
Mike

I have had 2 8wt Muti Tip lines fail on fish appromantly 30 to 40 feet above the loop of the main line. Yes I'm still fishing them but the confedience level is low. I went up to the main office in Vancouver and they replaced them on the spot.
