Default Marion Lake

Does anyone know when Marion Lake, up out of Marion Forks opens up or if it is already open. I want to make a backpack trip in this year but dont have a copy of the regs handy. Thanks.

Havent looked at the regs but Im pretty sure its open all year. I would guess it is accessible by Mid April at the earliest. I have gone there as early as April in the past. Not sure about this year.

Thanks. I picked up a copy of the regs and thats the conclusion I came to as well. I have been in there in April before and it seems like there was still some snow around when you got up to the rock fields. I'm hopin to get in there hopefully within a few weeks.

Cool Re: Marion Lake

Just came back from the LBC gathering and snow starts at 2,000' and is 2' to 3' at 3,000'. The trail head at Marion is at 3,300'!
