Another 20 pounder? Updated weight
Wow what a season big fish everywhere. Yesterday I managed to land another large steelhead ( our 4th in the last 13 trips). We managed to transport this one for the broodstock program. So I am hoping I will get an exact weight on this one in the next couple days. It was around 40 inches and 20 inches of girth. Maybe not the monster the last one was but a beautiful fish. It still had 8 sea lice on it. The cooler behind( and under) the fish is my livewell and its 34 inches.
Thanks to ZaQ for taking the picture he and Bobby came buy right after we landed it. Hopefully my client got another pic.

Thats it.. three strikes & you're out! Time to leave the river!
Nice fish...34" cooler? I take it's not a 150 qt'er! Guess you'll have to start catching smaller fish...

Re: Another 20 pounder? Updated weight
Holy cow man. I know a lot of it is skill and knowledge, but there is a degree of luck involved to get that many 20 plus pounders in a stretch of 10 or so days. With that said, it's time to buy a loto ticket, or go to Vegas. Congrats to you and your clients, those fish are pigadocious.

Scott, my buddy and I were drifting down and we saw you and your client putting that fish in the tank. My thoughts were he's at it again, that is if you ever stopped slaying them in the last couple weeks.
Congrats on the nice fish.

Re: Another 20 pounder? Updated weight
I talked to the ODFW and the fish is at the hatchery and doing well and should be spawned in the near future. They weighed the fish the 3rd day after I caught it and said it weighed 19 1/2 pounds. It had lost all its sea lice and had really started to color up. I am not sure how much weight a fish looses a day but still an awesome fish.
Still no pictures from my clients. Hoping to get a better one and one with the fish in the cooler. The fish fit ok. I only transported this one because it was not quite as big, and I only had a little ways to go to the tank. As for no smile in this and the last picture, both times I am picking the fish up quick and the picture was taken before I smiled.
