Drive by on John Day
Had an assignment in Fossil Tuesday and stopped by the John Day at Clarno for a quick fish about 3:30, hiked down stream and hooked two, with one long range release and another middle range release. Still fun. Cold and a little snow falling at dark. Had a sink tip line and a fly similar to an egg sucking leach, but with a brass bead head, heavy. Could have fished a floating line with that fly.
