Default Sled full of snow

I guess this could give new meaning to icing down fish but when I looked out my window this morning my sled is full of ice and snow. It's piled all the way up to the trays and then some on my flat bottom Alumiweld sled. Sure hope it thaws out before Saturday's sturgeon slaughter. At least we will have plenty of ice.

I second that wish for a thaw. Just don't want all that water in the rivers at once.

They just said on the news it will be one more day before we thaw out. Warmer weathe and higher water mean
great things for Sturgeon fisherman. My problem is I just sold my Sled and have not decided or committed to buying a new one. I will have to beg my son or borrow his boat for awhile. The rivers will be blown out so Sturgeon will the game in town. I went to the boat show and looked at a couple of boats and I'll bet those guys are getting hungry for some sales as this weather is really hurting the attendance.

It's still on Krue. Plenty of fishable columbia water above the Willy if it blows and logs up. I'm going.

Hey Bernie...Bentley's built me a really nice mooring cover a few years back.

They used wood (like 1x2's) for a support...first year of snow they caved in. I replaced with 1/4 by 2" aluminum...and it's supporting the 10 inches of snow we have here in Vancouver in addition to the 1 " of ice on top.

Would enable me a quick getout if I chose to do so. But I think I'll pass...Don't want my rig sitting in your bodyshop.

Dang it Mark, it's people like you that cost people like me income. I was to lazy to put the cover on her after the last fishing exhibition Pops and I put on. Now I get to shovel snow out of her tonight perhaps. Waiting to see what the weather really is going to do instead of listening to the dang forcasters.

Slow yesterday and today since all the cowards stayed home but I believe it will get hot and heavy the next two weeks and we should be booked up for a month or so hopefully. Kind of holding my breath right now. Sure is a pretty sight though. Portland never looked so good.

I like the cover Mark. Might have to weld something up here for mine. Sure would save the floor boards.

FM can you give me a ball park figure of what that cover cost you? I am in the market for a new one. I have an "out of the box" one which has seen better days.

K9...I think it was somewhere just under $400.

They told me not to trailer it..but it doesn't flap at all on the freeway at 65. Fits nice and snug. They also re-inforced "contact" points.

Some folks here don't speak kindly of Bentley's...but I sure like the work they do.
