Just about any pond with publuc access will get you into the bass. Look at Google earth around north and west Eugene to see the many obscure ponds most people overlook. Fishing is still a little slow due to the cold weather, but it'll be picking up soon.

Or you might try some lesser-known places like Dorena Lake, Cottage Grove Reservoir, or Fern Ridge Reservoir.

Pretty much every non-moving body of water around Eugene holds bass. The popular spots are Dorena, Cottage Grove, Fern Ridge, Fall Creek, and Triangle. They all can be excellent, but they take timing and some knowlege.

Green Peter, Lookout and even Dexter can also be good. Most of the little "farm" ponds around have fish and even the back sloughs on the river have bass.

I live in Eugene and fish all these lakes pretty regular. If you ever want someone to take you out and show you some water let me know. I usually fish by myself, and as long as you're not a freak, I appreciate the company.
