Rogue?

Anyone chuck any flies in the Rogue lately? I will fish this friday and saturday. Flies? etc.?

Things have slowed a bit, but there are still 10,000 plus fish over the dam in to the upper river. Heard reports of good things in the GP area as well. Standard Rogue tactics, copper johns, princes, etc...

I'll be avoiding the crowds this weekend.

You might check over on our Southern Oregon Board as well - a couple of the regulars there have been on vacation from work and fishing the last few days.

There's lots of fish, but colder water temperatures have slowed things down quite a bit for fly fishermen. I don't spend much time nymphing, but that might be a good bet.

the rogue is still fishing really well with nymphs. fish slow and in shallower runs, the fish are there but they take some persuasion and the right bugs. zero drag is the key to a 8-10 fish day or a 1 strike day. touvelle all the way up to the hatchery is producing, mcgregor park, the upper run at casey, and the lower hatchery hole, coho are biting small nymphs. fewer trips down the river means fishing every day.
