Does anyone have any experience with the Tec infrared grills?
Take care,

I have one. No problems with it, but have not had it for a year yet. You can really cook hot and fast on it if that is what you want. I really like the infrared for chicken on the rotisserie.

I used to sell these about 6 years ago and we actually were given one by the rep to use at the store. The infared is great for cooking hot and fast, you will not find a nother grill that will cook a steak like a TEC. Down fall to them is not being able to turn them down. Low is high on most grills. As far as durability, these grills last a long time without problems. The burners last for years because of the ceramic burners and the cooking grids are made out of high quality stainless. In the four years I worked for that company I only replaced one set of cooking grids for someone. If your not looking to slow cook something these are great BBQ's. The price tag is a bit steep but you will get many many low maintence years compared to others that are not built to TEC's standards.

Wow, I kinda sounded like a salesman again. I'll have to stop that.

Mike

they are great for fish,i cooked some salmon the other day i put some olive oil on the whole fillet skin side most .when the grill was up to temp i put the fillets on skin side down put the glaze on the top and cooked it for about 3 or 4 min.,it still looks like the center is not quite done and the skin is somewhat black. it will still cook itsself a little more, the skin comes right off and the meat is really juicey.this is some of the best food it never has that gas taste that most gas grills do and the fish and steaks are awsome.you can put wood chips on the side for a smokey taste. fish are easy to over cook,if they look rare inside they are done,if they look done then they get dry.
