Default Make you own sinking tip???

I just bought a sinking head kit from cortland, has anyone used this before and if so how much should I use? It comes with 12' and the heat shrink tube to custom make a quick switch between your floating line and the sink tip. It will be used on a floating 3wt wf line which is what it is rated for.

I think you should make several different legnths wtih loop to loop connectors. That way you get to use all 12' and can have different sizes.

I would definately cut it up into different lengths. I would also go a nail knott/perfection loop setup. I have lost sink tip sections that had the shrink tubing on them. Just my .02.

Airborne, email me your home address. I have a magazine that has a great article about this. I'll UPS it to you. All I ask is that you return it when you are done.
