Default EZ-Steer? What do you think

I have the quick connect type tie bar system now, which I don't care for becuase I loose so much turn radius. Who has, or has had experience with the EZ-Steer system?

I know the TR 1 is the cats meow, but how does it handle in the wind? I have a hardtop and remote kicker (no tiller), so does the TR 1 allow for manual (using the remote control) operation?

I used an EZ Steer for a long time before saving the necessary funds for a TR1. The EZ Steer works great. The reason I didn't like it was there was no-way to manually steer the boat when fishing/fighting solo.

The TR1 will only "steer" when it's in "Pilot" mode. It'll hold a straight-line course until you steer it to another heading.
