The kid can fish

My 12 year old son walked down to the river yesterday after school. The river was up but he wanted to go fishing, He took his fly rod and my fly's and he caught a 7.5# hatchery Winter on a peach/orange Baker Bug. He called me at work about 5:30 and said he got a steelhead I asked him how and he said I got it on my fly rod dad! I don't want to go to fishing hell. Now he just has a 7.5 foot fiberglass rod with a cheap Reel, no Drag, and 7 weight line with a 10lb leader he also tied the fly on with a granny not. How he got this bright chrome fish in i'll never know anywho. I had to tag it last night because he didn't have his harvest card with him, it was in my wallet at work. Today he is back at it, This time he has my 8 weight and his card. So if you see a young guy out fishing today and his name is Billy say hi. I could not be prouder!!!
