Fly swap - What do we do?

It's seems like David is no shape or able to carry through with this swap. I understand his dilema but I think we need to see about bringing this to some kind of conclusion.
I feel somewhat respondsible since I'm one of the moderators here and it was my idea to do these swaps.
So what I am asking is what do you guys think we should do about this? Should we pursue it or just forget about it?
I'm wanting input from you guys who sent your flies for the swap only.

It seems the easiest solution would be for someone to go pickup the flys then mail them out. If that does not work for some reason, then I would be willing to tie more flys and act as the swapmaster.

I got an email from someone who knows David. apparently he had a question about my no snagging shirts. She mentioned he'd be back around on the 24th. I'll mail her back and inquire about the flies, just hang tight a little longer and be patient, I'm sure we'll get things worked out.

Hey I can wait, no problem. I'm the oddball one, still have never even wet my fly rod! (Stew even helped me out with a reel for my 8 wt...I'm waiting for the Clark-Sakamania Flyfishers to hold their Fall casting clinic to get a bit more instruction) I got a new little one on the way, so my time will be taken up with that, but once shes old enough to ride with me to the rivers, then look out! So no rush on getting the flies back. But I do enjoy tying!! I do hope that this one swap doesnt sour people from participating in more. I look forward to being able to contribute to the next one!

ok, good news. They are all being mailed out to me
tomorrow. I'll have to get addresses and such from all of you so we can get them distributed once I have them. I'll post when they arrive at my place.

Man ! you guys are fast ! Here I was thinking I'd post a line with some sort of brilliant resolution to this problem and voila no problem. I'll be glad to see the flies, but I'll really be glad to hear that things have gotten better for David. I mean, if it wasn't for the fish and the people this would be a rather meaningless endeavor.

yep. Maybe we all as a flyfish group can do something nice for the guy when he's feeling back in form a bit. He seems like a good man.

got another email today for his wife, friend, whoever it is I'm in touch with?? She has them with ups and gave me a tracking number and all. She's on top of it. I should have them today or tomorrow. I've got address from a few, those of you who have not, get them to me soon.

got the flies all divided up. Everyone will get 9, plus a holdzit which is cool. I loose too many bottles of floatant. I am adressing the envelopes this morning and hope to get them into todays mail. Great job on the flies.
