Is the campground at Haystack reservoir open? I couldn't find much info on it. Looking to go there this weekend and camp. Read somewhere it was closed for repair?Thanks
There have been folks camping in the west shore area by the boat ramp. When we were there last weekend the south and east shore campgrounds appeared to both be closed. If I get a chance I will swing by and check in the next couple days.

I just buzzed by on my way between clinics, and the West "camp area" has been updated to look more like a camp area and is open. The east campground is open and has three camps in it, but the South camp area gate is locked with a sign on it saying that it is temporarily closed until restorations can be preformed. I think that I heard something about the BLM shutting it down because of campers making a mess, so I don't really know that much about what is happening there.

Spent a few hours in the middle of the day at Haystack today. Not a lot of fish caught in the area we were fishing, but we did manage to catch a couple trout and several suckers. Biggest was 14 1/2 inches.
Yes there are still kokes in there. They seem to be very finicky. I have a friend in Madras who seems to limit most of the time. He has it very dialed in.
