Default lost gear on North Santiam

We dumped the boat today on the North Santiam at John Neal Park. Lost 6 rods and reels of various persuasions, tackle boxes, and clothing. If you find anything, let me know and I will identify. Thank you all fellow I-fishers.503-428-2124

I am fishing today, I'll look around up there and near Mehama. Not much bank access until you get back to Stayton. That sucks, hope everyone was alright. Those can be some nasty little rapids there.

Everyone is fine. The boat is back at home with just a few nicks and dings. It might be a couple of weeks before I have it put back together though. Thanks for your help.

I am glad to hear that you are OK. Good luck on someone getting gear back to you, it happens all the time here on ifish!

Wound up fishing in town here. If I get up that way this week, I'll certainly keep looking. The water is up a bit right now. Maybe things will show up when it drops again. Sorry for your misfortune.

Went back today and walked the bank in a few places. Found a couple packages of ez eggs, a couple loose plugs, and other assorted small stuff. I found some stuff a couple miles downstream, so it is around. Now I just need to get a new anchor mount and I'm back in business.

I bank fish the N. Santiam quite a bit. I'll keep my eyes open.

I was finally able to get back on the river today, and found one of my rods. I also know that my main tackle box has been bound, though by a couple of hoodlums in a blue drift boat who decided they needed it more than me. They were turned into TIP for littering by me. For some reason they dropped a whole case of beer cans in the river before they hit the ramp, and filleted and released a steelhead further upriver. If anyone wants there boat numbers, and license plate to keep an eye on them in the future pm me and I will gladly let you know.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck and hope you get the rest of your gear back. It really sucks that people are like that and will not give you your gear back, hopefully they have a crappy season and feel a little remorse for being like that. Good luck in getting the rest of your stuff!
