Default Middle Rogue

Fishing is starting to pick up with the big October fish. Last night 7 hookups, including the biggest fish to my boat in several years (maybe ever!) Estimated weight 13-14 pounds. I'm heading downriver on Thursday. Hope it doesn't pour rain.

Was down on the lower river the past few days. Lots more steelies on their way. Saw some nice schools of chromers. Silvers starting to show.

GP- do you ever get into the silvers in the Middle Rogue? I've been wanting to target them before they get up to the hatchery. I'm thinking in about a week or two it should be good.

Maybe one of these days I'll catch you on the river.

Shad Boy...that's good news! I'm going down through the Wild and Scenic stretch on Thursday. Hope to intercept those Steelies. We do get a few Silvers here...mostly incidental catch. A Fly-Fishing guide friend of mine picked one up yesterday. Another friend used to get them in November below Savage Rapids Dam. I (foolishly) have never targeted them...but pick them up occasionally anyway. I think the number of fish is pretty good.

thanks GP!

How's Bear Camp road now a days? Heard there's a detour around the slide, but havent' traveled it yet. Anyway to worry about pulling a drift boat?

Have a great trip!

I just drove up and checked it out yesterday (hunting). It's about a ten mile detour. No problems pulling a drfit boat
