Almost made me want to grab my flyrod and head over there. Sweet!

Good luck when you go.

When we were at Crane Prairie last week, fish were rising in the Cultus channel and the upper channel of the Deschutes.I would look for cooler water.Temperature out in front of the dam got up to 62 degree's and in the upper Cultus it cooled down to 45.I am sure that there is some anglers on this board that could recommend what flies to use.Good luck on your trip.

Crane Prarie Specials, Damsels, pheasant tails. All work.
Crane Prarie Speicials trolled way behind a slow troll. They skip the surface.

Of troll a silver Flat fish anywhere in the lake.

If you are talking about float tubing of traditional Fly tactics then go to Westfly I am sure they will have a report.

His is a recent report from Caddis Fly

. . : : Crane Prairie Reservoir
Water Condition: The water around the Dechutes and Cultus channels is in prime condition.

Fishing Condition, Techniques and Hatches: The best fishing is in the early morning, when fish are cruising shallow water for food. Size 14 red chironomids, and olive, black and brown leeches, have worked well.

Comments: Expect to catch brookies and large rainbows.
