Roll Call - See everyone tomorrow night!

Giz and I were just talking about doing one of these this in October. It would just be an informal get together to talk about flyfishing, maybe have a brew or two and get to know one another. Our thoughts is having it somewhere in the Portland area. We talked about having it at a all you can eat buffet or pizza parlor or ????
So how about it guys? Any interest? Suggestions?
Remember the only rules are
1.Informal
2.Fun
Apologies go to those guys that live far away and maybe can't make it but if we had it on a weekend then possibly you could come to?
So then let's hear some suggestions

Great idea. The Grand Lodge here in Forest Grove has a nice big room with a fireplace - no charge. Count me in. lnf

There's a few guys from the Vancouver area so I thought somewhere in Portland would be the easiest on all involved.
So okay then. Do we want to go to a buffet all you can eat place? A pizza parlor?
Since we want Jordan Ulrich to come a tavern is out of the question for this one.

While I appreciate you thinking of Jordan I by no means want to ruin it for the rest of the fella's. How about the Old Spaghetti factory on Macadam ? I know the NW Steelheaders meets there monthly. Maybe we could do it on the weekend so the Forest Grove and Vancouver guys don't have to deal with traffic. Just an idea.

count me in. My wife and little one will be on the east coast from the 7th-15th, so if it happens around then, all the better. Of course I'll be fishing every day and all weekend, right lilnorhtfork? Either way it sounds like a bunch of fun to meet all you bug tossers.
How about Micky Finn's. It's even a fishing theme
family brew pub place, and Dave can bring Jordan.

I'd be glad to "show you guys around" Silver Creek. Pete, you are correct...it is that time! The Big Browns are getting ready to spawn on the Owyhee too. I'll be there every chance I get till November (unless I'm on Silver Creek or the Clearwater).

I will try to make it to the Portland area if you can shoot for a Saturday.

I can host it if you folks want to do a road trip :grin: .

Pick a McMenamins. Or perhaps a West Side Pizza Joint. The all you can eat thing probably won't happen on a night or weekend, but pizza is my staple. I'm in. It better be late in the evening or after Oct. 31st. If I have a free moment before then, I'll be starving for pizza and flicking bugs across raindrops.

Just a suggestion, but on Canyon Rd in Beaverton, theres a all you can eat pizza joint called "Eatsa Pizza" that just opened up. Its like $4.99 for all you can eat pizza, pasta salad and desert. We had a gathering there and they were very accommidating for our group of 15 or so.

I was a small turnout. Myself (GBS) lilnorthfork, riverkeeper, and stew, plus my little one and LNF's kid. Was great to meet you Stew, and riverkeeper. Hope we meet on a river sometime in the future. You're on stew for a crooked river trip next spring or summer, let's plan something.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I had to watch my 7th grader's Lakeridge football team get CRUSHED by Neil Lomax's Lake Oswego team. Game didn't end till around 7:00 P.M. I definitely will try and make the next one.

Whadda mean a Crooked river trip in the spring or summer? Winter is a great time to fish the Crooked. Get out your chains and come on over!
