Default I Flyfish rules

I wonder how folks feel about fishing reports on this board if gear is involved in the reporter's day. I often do a fly/hardware combo for steelhead. If the info gained from other-than-fly experiences bugs folks I'll respect that and keep that part out of my reports. If you're not sure what I mean please read my N Umpqua report before you vote.

Thanks,

Kevin

Going out on a limb here, I think it is fair game to post here as long as some kind of fly, fly gear, or even a "man, I wish I'd gotten into that fish on my 7 weight instead of my lami" is involved. I mean, here I was thinking some of these guys were fly purists, and next thing I know I see a picture of some of them hoisting a hawg in 5-Cents boat on the main page.

Conversely, if there is an early morning chironomid hatch and you sight fish a 24" brown and land him after he pulls your tube up and down the lake, put it up on the main board.

Can I get a witness here?

And by the way, you're right. Ifish Flyfishers DOES rule!

As long as this board remains fly fishing oriented there should be no problem. Remember there is the main ifish board to post info about using bait/gear so let's try to keep this board mostly about fly fishing.....fair enough?

Wade...this section is for flyfishing. The mods will decide when and if posts are straying to far from the topic. Users of this site have limited their discussions to ff and occassionally mentioning drift gear and bait. Lets keep it that way...No poll is necessary... and more importantly the fewer rules the better. We all know what this section is for...and I appreciate all the past posters who have limited their posting to mainly ff related topics.

Gizmoman,
Actually the poll is for me, and in that regard is necessary. I'm not trying to make rules, but get a feel for what info I will post here. I don't gear fish enough to justify giving reports on the main board so for me its here or not at all, either is fine with me.

Wade: Cool...just post away. Catch a fish on a fly post it here and tell us your story. We all enjoy good stories.

The other bb have places to tell other stories, Salty dogs for salt water adventures, hunting, bass...etc.

Lets have fun here and keep it simple, friendly and informative.
