Default Outboard Jet Heighth?

I have been dealing with this for a couple months now. I raised it up another 3/4" today and it performed great i got and extra 5 Knots out of it. I am now making 28 Knots by myself. I was hoping i could see some pictures of your guys shoe in comparison the the bottom of the boat or just tell me were it is in comparison. This picture was before i raised it up the extra 3/4"

Sending you a PM with an informational non-sponsor link.

(from Mercury 3rd edition Outboard Rigging technical manual.)
SETTING OUTBOARD JET MOUNTING HEIGHT ON BOATS WITH "V" BOTTOM HULLS
  1. Measure the width of the leading edge on the water intake housing. Make a horizontal line (a) on the transom up from the "V" bottom the same length as the width of the width of the water intake housing.

  2. Place (center) the outboard on the boat transom so that the transom brackets are resting on top of the transom. Temporarily fasten the outboard to the trransom using two C clamps.

  3. Postion the outboard in a vertical position.

  4. Line-up a straight edge (c) along the bottom of the boat with the horizontal line made in Step 1, then measure the distance between the horizontal line and top front edge of the water intake housing (d).

  5. Raise the outboard up on the transom the distance measured in Step 4. Use a straight edge and recheck the mounting height. The top edge of the water intake housing should be lined-up with the horizontal line make in Step 1.

  6. Fasten the outboard to the transom at this height.

  3. Place a straight edge (a) along the bottom of the boat as shown, then measure the distance between the bottom of the boat and top front edge of the water intake housing (b).

  4. Raise the outbaord up on the transom the distance measured in Step 3. Use a straight edge and recheck the mounting height. The top edge of the water intake housing should be lined-up with the bottom of the boat as shown.

  5. Fasten the outboard to the transom at this height.
