Default Macs Prop Saver Question

I am wanting to get a River Runner for the new 25HP outboard and was wondering if any of you have one? Have you had any problems? Does it affect planing or getting on plane? Any info you have will be greatly appreciated. I just want to protect the prop in shallow water situations. Thanks!!!

I doubt that you'd see any performance problems. I have a Clackacraft guard and it works really well when the bottom is contacted by my kicker.

I have run one for five years now and they have saved me a couple times. They don't woek in reverse though, but have come through in other applications ie hitting stumps certain rocks or bottom just keep the motor unlocked to come up if it comes up on something. I will say I had my brother borrow my boat and some how it either fell off or broke or I don't know what, neither does he??? but when I went to but another one I told the company what had happened and they worked with me on price. They are really tough and a great idea especially in tide water just helps to get that prop out of the gravel and debris.

Does anybody other than Clackacraft sell/manufacture those things? I went looking for one today with no luck. I want to put one on my driftboat motor.
