Default Okay guys let's set a date

Let's do an ifish flyfishing get-together for summer runs on the lower Deschutes. My proposal is sometime during the week. We can meet at the state park on the east side and fish the evening or whatever works.
How about dates? I can do pretty much anytime but prefer a weekday like Tuesday or Wednesday. I would prefer to avoid really warm days so maybe sometime in September would be best.
What do you guys think?

I would love to join in. Mondays or tuesday work for me. Tuesday AM is my preference if done on Tuesday.

However - lead the way - what ever works for the majority!

I would love to do this. I can't predict a day of the week that works better than any other this far in advance. Evening would be easier to arrange than all day.

I'm game, I missed the last one and regret it. Still though, I can only do a weekend or evening get together. I'm elk hunting the first week in sept. other than that I have most of sept. open.
Lets make it work, would be fun to meet you all.

A Thursday evening, Friday morning would work best for me, but I could alway reprioritize if you guys select a different date. September is always tough with kids back in school and their schedules taking command again.

Set a date and see what happens.

I'm with GBS....the best times for me are weekends and evenings. I'm off work at 2pm everyday...but that's not hardly enought time to get from downtown portland...to the deschutes...then back again. Stew~ You had mentioned the lower end...I guess I'm not that familiar with that river...where would that be..what hook up point..and would we need a boat, tube or just waders??

I think we would meet at the State Park at the mouth. If you wanted to do evening then leaving at 2pm from downtown Portland would probably put you on the river by 5pm maybe? That's plenty of time for about 3 or 4 hours of quality fishing.

I am interested if the date falls right. I work a week and am off a week: Tue--Wed My son lost two steelhead on a green butt skunk a week ago on the lower end. He thought he had one until his knot failed. He did catch a couple of nice redbands of about 17".
