Default White River?

I am going to be on the white river tommorrow, several miles upstream of the Deschutes. Has anyone ever fished this river? You would think there might be some trout available. I don't know if it would fish well though, due to the color.

I've only ever seen it where it dumps into the D, and indeed it is milky. The State Parks website lists fishing as a recreation opportunity (although it doesn't say anything about catching). I will be below the falls at the state park. Maybe some Deschutes fish make their way up? I don't know, if I was a fish I probably stay in the deschutes...
