Cowlitz River

Five of us are looking for a good river to float, fish and camp from July 10-12th. We are mainly trout fishermen (but the chance of a steelie is a bonus).

I understand that the Cowlitz has a good run of Sea-Run Cuts that will rise to a fly. The Deschutes is out because it is cost prohibitive once my Washington residents purchase their licenses and boater's passes.

Does anyone have any info on the Cowlitz re, floats, campgrounds, flies... alternatively, any suggestions?
