Default Threw my fly in front of a 120 lb. fish !

Went Tarpon fishing last week with my son. What a great experience. It is unbelievable to see a 6' fish come after a fly. We fished for 4 days and did not "jump" a fish. It was really slow. No eaters, as they say. It was still a great trip. We got to throw at Bones, Permit, and Tarpon. Only the Bonefish were in the mode to take. We had a number of fish leave the pack (sometimes over a 100 fish) and follow the fly. It looks like a bunch of torpedos coming through the water at you.....amazing!! Only 1 guide jumped a fish while we were there...... now can't wait for the "big bugs" to come out. fishrite

Where were you? I've been looking at going back to Florida for some backcountry fishing for mostly tarpon. Even a little one I've heard is crazy fun.

We fished out of Homestead with Jerry Murphy. He is a very knowledgable guide and really knows the water. The migration had started and there were a lot of fish moving, but none were interested in eating our flies. We did catch bonefish. I only have 35mm pictures of the bonefish. We didn't feel bad after talking to 15 guides that hadn't hooked up either. Fishrite
