Default Tube flies

I have been tying standard flies for years but need some expert advice on how to make a tube fly. Are there special jigs needed and where can I purchase them.
Thanks

I like the HMH Tube Fly Starter Tool Kit:

It will work in most vises.

Most fly shops carry a good supply of the components you will need to tie tube flies.

I started tying tube flies recently without any prior knowledge and had been struggling with my attempts to not collapse the tube.

That little device I can clamp in the vise will be great!

After messing with tubes for a few years I'm sold on their simplicity and effectiveness for winter steel.

Also, the Eumer Tube Fly Adapter Tool (for < $20) would be my choice if I had to make the purchase again. hycreek.com/eumer.wcs?type=TOOLS&webcat=Tubefly+Tying+Tool

Angler's workshop in Woodland has a tube jig at a pretty reasonable price - less than ten bucks if I remember right.

There are a lot of tube tying options out there can get a little confusing. My personal favorite is the Frodin system because the tube is easy to work with, comes in different colors and I can adapt almost any pattern to them.

I use the same adapter that AndyK has but i picked up a pin for the Frodin tubes that has a step taper to handle the different diameter tubes. The Eumer adapter is pretty nice too. Most any fly shop will have tube fly stuff. The Fly Shop and NW Flyfishing Outfitters are my two favorites for Frodin stuff.
