Default Pay to play lake fishing in Canby???

I have recently been told that there is a private lake in Canby that holds some nice trout. Does anyone have any information on what I was told is called "Quarry Lake"? Where exactly is it located? What is the cost? Who do I contact? I'm looking at getting my father out soon and a close lake with good fishing would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

im not sure about quarry lake, but saint louis ponds may be right out your back door-- they get stocked, but spring time will find the best fishing-- weeds and such over grow during the summer-

I remember seeing a private membership bass pond in Canby about ten years ago.

Steelie 28,
I have fished Quarry Lake several times. It has been a few years, but there used to be some real good fishing in there. It is stocked with Kamloops rainbows and largemouth bass. There are some monsters (both species) in there.
I think it used to be 45 dollars per day to fish, 15 if you were a member of Clackamas Fly Fishers.

Dave at Fisherman's Marine in OC used to be the caretaker there when I used to go. He may still know something about it.

Another great pay to play place in Canby to check out is Wilderness Lakes.

Try calling some local fly shops and you can probably find out more info.

I was a great place. A guy bought the lake and newly built house/lodge and closed it down. It was full of large bows...some over 20".

Have fished Quarry Lake. I have a picture on my den wall of my son Jeff with a 8 lb. Kamloops Rainbow from Quarry. There are some real "hogs" in there. Jeff caught them on a little black midge size 20 that he tied using my black lab's tail. He called them the "Hunter fly" after my dog Hunter. We caught about 15 fish that night all over 18"  .....some nice fish and they fight good. Fishrite

In Dayton, there is Red Hills Lake. Never been there and the $60/day seems a little steep, but they do have a good website.

If someone goes, post a report on how it is.

Fishrite,

Can you give me any info on how to get in contact with those that run Quary Lake? Also, where exactly is it? Am I safe in assuming that it is back in the Pacific Rock Products quary off of Barlow Rd.? Can you please shed some light on this? Thanks mucho,

I still have a brochure on Wilderness Lakes that I got from the Fly Shop that used to be in Lake Oswego. It lists the address as 11775 S. Township Road, Canby. I think you can still get info and reservations through Kaufman's. My Dad and I fished there one June just before the algae bloom made it unfishable. We tried all kinds of stuff until I tried ripping in a Muddler. They hit it like a freight train. I had to switch to ten-pound tippet to keep from losing my last one.
