Default flounder flyfishing

I wanted to see what the board thought about flyfishing for flounder: where, when and with what?
Years ago we used to bounce a red wool yarn over the bottom with a lead weight and the flounder in Newport would "yoink!" then "zip, zip, zip" and off they would go! Of course were were fishging off Neptunes dock in about 15 feet of water!
Any suggestions?

Never heard anyone ff for flounder. I have caught them on many baits incidentally for what we where fishing for.

I know those that fish for them do so very close to the bottom.

Anyone out there have any knowledge of ff for flounder????

I think if I were ever to catch a flounder on a fly I would have to say: "There's a fluke".!
