Default Wilson

Anybody flyfishing the Wilson these days? Fished it Friday and landed a lunker Steelie... must of been all of 6 inches. Would that be a "no-salt". Fished my favorite Wilson trib. the last day of March and caught (and released of course) 2 beautiful cuts.

If anyone is drifting it and has an extra seat, I'd be most grateful for a chance to go. Just picked up a small pontoon boat and would like to see the river before swimming in it.

I floated from guide shop down with rock bottom
River looked great, was a little high but good color. That stretch is pretty clear and free of obstructions and rapids. I would take my pontoon down that stretch. good luck! Keep a life jacket on just in case though.

Thanks for the input. Thinking of making my maiden voyage on monday, probably from Mills Bridge down. Any stretches strike you as having fly appeal?
