carb help

7.5 Meck...wont idle, once started will only run on high idle, gas seems to be running out the air intake where the choke closes, i removed the carb and it appears to be clean ...any ideas....?...thanks mike

What year, 2-stroke/4-stroke? Won't idle low enough is most likely idle mixtue problem. Gas flooding out carb is most likely debris at float needle, or bad/worn needle. Just looking at/in the carb won't show what's under, or condition of, the needle. Idle issue may also be due to debris in passages related to idle mixture.
