Anyone Fishing the Crooked River?

Has anyone been over to the Crooked River in the last 2 weeks? Thinking of going over this week.
What flies were you using? Thanks

the word has been copper johns and beadhead PTs. I know there have been guys from westfly going down there. might want to check out that site.

I went through there a week and a half ago. The Orvis hatch was coming off real strong, but if you looked, there were a few rocks left to stand on. The water was a nice steelhead green. If it has colored up, try a San Juan Worm or an egg pattern.

I've done well on a combo dropper of an orange scud and a bead head PT or BH soft hackle.
Small BH prince, and the copper john works well too. As May comes you can also do well with ants cast up tight to the grassy banks. These fish are'nt picky, to me the key is finding the type of water they are preferring, once you get that dialed in it's all gravy!
