Week 3 Fly Photos

Well another Thursday has come and gone, and I now have 2 (actually 3) more flies in my arsenal!

Skunk
Hook: Mustad 90240 #6
Thread: Black 3/0
Tail: Red Hackle Fibres
Body: Black Medium Chenille
Rib: Silver Flat medium Tinsel
Hackle: Black
Wing: White Calf Tail

A few turns of Lime green chenille at the tail and you now have a Green Butt Skunk, very deadly on Steelies! (gotta love those 2 for one patterns!)

Polar Shrimp
Hook: 90240 #6
Thread: 3/0 Black
Tail: Red Hackle Fibers
Body: Orange Chenille (Or Flor. Flame)
Wing: White Calf Tail (Or Buck Tail)
Hackle(optional): Long Flowing Hot Orange Sclappen, 2 turns.

I really enjoyed tying these patterns, and tied up several more when I got home. Now I need to wait for Summer time to go test them out.

Hmmm maybe the Coho might like them too? :smile:

NICE JEEP!! well you asked if they would work for coho and I know that the Polar Shrimp will but as for the Skunk I don't know but I would try looks like they will hit it....

Nice lookin flies Jeep, u should try Winter's Hope also.....easy fly to tie and they work good too.

SIZE 22???? Not sure I could see a size 22, let alone tie one! Im afraid I have big old meat hands. Thanks for the replies, it really is a fun hobby! :tongue:
