Re: Ar-15 Loads?
Hornady 75 grain BTHP, max charge of Reloder 15, Winchester cases, Remington BR or russian primers
Avoid the winchester primers in your AR if you are pushing maximum charges.

Re: Ar-15 Loads?
H335 for volume reloading (meters well) with 55 gr bullets.
Varget for heavier match bullets 69-75gr
4985 is always a good standby - works almost any 223 bullet although you may not get max velocity or temp sensitivity.
What AW said on primers - I avoid CCI SR and Winchester -> too soft and easy to burn the firing pin. Russian or CCI 41's seem to run better.

Re: Ar-15 Loads?
I was getting slam fires with winchester primers. 27.0 grains H4895 with a 50 grain v-max is my fav for coyotes and squirrels. If you want something for bigger critters that won't explode on contact, I use 26.0 grains H4895 with a 53 grain barnes triple shock.

26.5grs of Varget with a 60gr V-max this load shoots great in every gun we have tried.

Re: Ar-15 Loads?
I have not reloaded 223 yet, just bought the dies.
I get great results from 60gr VMax factory loads.
Varget is a good powder for all the cartridges I load.
Thanks for info on primers.

A bread & butter .223 load is the 55gr Ballistic Tip over 25.0gr H335 ignited by a CCI400 primer.

Has anyone tried to develop a load to match the MK262 mod1? This is the military sniper round that uses the 77 Sierra Match HP. Thanks...

I think you can find that loading (or something pretty similar, maybe using Nosler 77g BTHP) at the site I mentioned above...
Think they're using V-V N140
