Default Hagg Lake 2009 Season?

Did a search on this but cold not find any up to date info. Anyone know when it is open for this year?
From the website:
The 2008 Park Season runs from Saturday, March 1st through Sunday, November 23rd.
Lastly, I recall there was a trout derby a few week after it opened last year, any word on this happening again?

Hagg Lake opens on Mar. 7th.
I haven't found anything about the derby either.

Anybody know what time they'll shut the boat ramp gates? In November, it was 4 pm.

Their web site says they are open from sunrise to sunset.

Didn't realize that Hagg opened so early -

Had some good days early season out there last year, this year I've got a different boat to explore with. After fishing the big rivers, I'm looking forward to a relaxing day of Trout fishing.

I usually put the canoe in at ramp C, as it's in the no wake end. Last November, the sign posted at the gate said "Gate closes at 4pm", and I was the last one out, with the park attendant closing the gate behind me (at 4). I actually had the sun in my eyes driving home since sunset wasn't till ~ 4:30. It was disappointing, since I thought they'd be open longer and my daughter and I only got to fish for 2 hours or less.

That was probably on Nov. 23rd, the last day of the season, they closed at 4PM that day...

You're right. Any reason to believe they'll be open later on March 7th?

It's usually 30 minutes after sunset, and open at sunrise.

yeah, you getthe feeling its time to go when the sherrif boat comes barreling through the slow end of the lake like he was chasing someone. I guess I need to be reminded that I might be breaking the rules if I stay too late, by a blatant demonstration of what rule breaking looks like. I have never had a problem with ANYONES behaviour at Hagg, except for the many times poor behaviour has been exhibited by the park-not coast guard- officials. Just my two cents.

I know I will be glad to see them when the time comes that I need to see them, until then, I wish I hadn't seen some of the things I have seen.
