Default Canby Pond.....

Is it true that Canby pond is only 17 and younger? And If so, when did that go into effect? And while were talking about that pond, Has anyone have good luck at the bank acces there on the Mollala?

It is true, the pond is 17 years and under/disabled angler only. This regulation went into effect this year (Jan. 2009).

The Mollala at the park has some pretty good small mouth bass fishing and an occasional steelhead caught along the bank.

Canby Pond really needs to put some signs out telling people this. I had lunch there Friday and seen a few Adults fishing there. I wasn't sure the rules were final so I didn't say anything. It's good to know.
I seen signs saying to read the 2009 Regulations but they should still have a Kiddie Pond sign in multiple languages too.

I'll contact the ODFW district bio for the area (I know him personally) and ask them to post the new regulation signs. They said they would the last time I spoke with them about the pond and the new regulations (they stated the signs would be bi-lingual).

Per the 2009 Stocking Schedule listed on the ODFW website..........

03/16/09 - 400 legal, 50 larger
03/30/09 - 350 legal, 25 larger
04/06/09 - 350 legal, 25 larger
04/20/09 - 400 legal, 50 larger
05/04/09 - 400 legal, 50 larger

They do not stock the pond after the 05/04/09 as the pond gets to warm for the fish so I'm told.

Thanks Artwo.
PLEASE: Remember these are dates "the week of" scheduled stocking.
Does not include special stockings, early or late arrivals, etc.
Think of it as a budget, not a strict guideline. I will announce any confirmed stockings. I am usually present, or know right away if the truck dropped fish at the pond. I announce this in my signature line site also.
