Default Green Peter from the shore 2-20-09

Went out to do a little fishing this afternoon off the bank of Green Peter. Had to hike a bit to get to my spot as the water is still pretty low. Worms and various colors of powerbait with a long leader seemed to work the best. Ended up fishing for 2 hours and caught 6 fish and missed several other strikes. 2 fish were nice holdover rainbows, one 12 inches, the other 14. two fish were kokanee 9 and 10 inches, and two were small native rainbows between 7-9 inches. I kept the two bigger rainbows and threw everything else back. Hope everyone else is seeing some luck as well!

nice report. Hope to fish Green Peter on Sunday

I fished Ollala Lake this afternoon with my wife. No wind, quiet ride and no fish.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but it seemed as though the bite was best when the sun was on the water. Almost every cast had a fish bite at least once when the sun was out. When it went down the wind picked up and the fishing slowed. Also filleted the fish this evening and actually put a tape to them. The one was 12 3/4 inches and the other was 14 1/2 pretty nice fish to say the least and both were very fat and put up a great fight.
