So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
I personally like over/unders, but lets say that you have some cash (cost of little concern but your still smart, you never buy whats not really worth the extra $$, what shotgun do you buy for upland game birds?
BTW - I did not win anything, but if I did I would have the answers Oh, I suppose I should actually buy a ticket, dang I knew there was a catch.

I'd probably buy a Beretta Onyx/White Onyx in 20ga. The shotgun fits me really well, seems well made, and looks classy without looking too ****-juice.

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
Well....it would be nice to get hold of a custom K32 but.....I would not shoot it as well as my A-5's so I'll stick with my A-5's.......
Besides.....they only hold two shells and are slow to reload.....

OK im getting suspicous, first the thread about which elk unit to hunt, now the thread about which upland gun to buy to take with you to that prize elk unit and shoot some upland on the side. Let me guess you bought one of the St. Patricks Day raffle tickets???

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
I heard told you fall down once with that shotgun and it becomes what's called Chukar Grade.
I'd find a Browning silver receiver 20ga. BSS.

I don't believe there will be any chukars on my new hunting estate in the moors of Scotland, but each gun bearer will be packing a matching Boss o/u for me!

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
I wouldn’t buy a gun, already have two nice O/U…but I would love to find a nice piece of private land for upland to lease.
Either that, or I'd take Benny's collection of Citori's while he slept

Winchester model 12 16 GA. Just like the one my grandpa had. When it was cleaned and oiled the action was extremely smooth and it fit me perfectly.

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
I have an Onyx 20 ga but I dont shoot it anymore.
I would keep my wally world A390 20. Since it fits I would take the money and spend a big chunk of it at Dan Mitchells on clays and lessons.
And then I would endeavor to rid the west of its avian scourge, the chukar! Be the last time the little feathered rats laughed at me!

I would let you have one of my citori's if you let me take Emma out on your newly acquired property. Perhaps we should start gathering our lucky numbers

A berreta 20ga SxS with all the trimmings. Of course it would be a straight english stock.

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
I'd invest the $$$ that I won (or spend it on something else).
That's because I'm perfectly happy with the Browning Lightning Citori 16 ga. O/U that I currently have/shoot. (That's on its own smaller/lighter 16 ga frame )
I might use some of that $$$ to go on hunts to places I usually don't go to these days though...

Even your Krieghoffs?
Personally I wouldn't hunt chuckars without a 3 shot gun.
Berretta extrema, browning Gold, or the new Browning Maxima.
I'll save my double barrel guns for gentlemanly endeavors.

Yep, I would SO wear twill and those silly little hats and shoot fine doubles and sip double malt in the lodge after the hunt. I really think I could pull that off!

There is an awful lot of BS on this post so i will add my . I don't own one but only because i was to stubborn to listen . However i have used it on several hunts , the Benelli Monte Felcro is ; very light , smooth , fast, and points well . Best chukar gun i ever used .

Re: So you win the lottery, what Shotgun do you buy for uplands?
Well lets see if I won the lottery I would get two guns. Gun #1 would be a Krieghoff K-20 in 28 gauge and #2 would be a Browning Citori 625 feather also in 28 guage.
