Results of Yesterday's Test Net Fishery...?

I couldn't find anything on the CRC website regarding the results of the commercial tangle net test fishery from yesterday.

Anybody know the details? How many were sampled, will it be open tomorrow and what the regs will be? [img]graemlins/program.gif[/img]

My buddy is friends with Steve King from ODFW who actually went on one of the vessels & he said it was very, very slow in regards to numbers of fish...

I suspect things will pick up in a few weeks (Hopefully for us and not the Nets)...Need warmer water I think....

I assume that means the nets won't go in on the 24th due the the poor showing?

ACTION: Test fishing results on Sunday February 22, 2004 were not conducive to setting a season. The Compact did not meet and no fishery is currently in place. The next test fishery will take place on Sunday February 29, 2004.
Further updates will be posted on the hotline as soon as they become available.

Notice to Fishers: Plan to call the "Hotline" Number on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to get the fishing season. The hotline number is 360-902-2500; press "1" for commercial and "2" for Columbia River.
