Very few left. Anyone have a picture of the monster handled by PGE at Cazadero years back. If I remimber right it could have blown away the record, better than 40 inchs if I remember right.
I've caught them as late as mid march in EC. This fish was very brite and one of the hardest fighting coho I've ever caught. The bio's used to trap fish at the lower falls all through january to see how many winter coho were coming in.
I participated in a coho redd survey in a lower Clack trib in february some years back (we found just 1 that day).
Regarding the upper Clack's wild steelhead run, they don't really get going until March and historically, they actually peak over the dams in early May. I've caught them below Rivermill in June, fishing for summer-runs. I don't know, but I believe the wild steelhead caught in the lower Clack Dec-Feb are likely lower trib spawners. I've caught a number of them late December-January, long before they show up over the dams.
BTW, the fish in my avatar is a 35 inch April Clackamas wild hen.
