Default Itchin for Hali-Butt

I am keeping an ear to the sand and an eye on the web as to when the season opens and if some one would have an open seat on some Monday after it opens. I will kick in for fuel. I would love to fill out some spots on my tag.

Thanks

Dave

Sorry to say Dave but the outside halibut show in Oregon is a Thursday, Friday, Saturday affair, or a Friday-Saturday one. The only halibut fishing that is open on Mondays is the inside 30 fathoms fishery. Check the regs for clarity.

I would also buy gas, make lunch, wash boat, bring cigars, and so on ... for a taste of fresh halibut. Heck, if it's bumpy I'll even chum!

Uh, Bugflicker. I don't think you're going to have much trouble filling that boat of yours with fishermen.

Look forward to seeing you out there.

JCB, you don't regrow your virginity. Once it is lost it is gone forever. Didn't you loose it last year. Now you should advertise as an experienced halibut killer and get a ride that way. You're welcome on my boat anytime.

Wow, sounds like alot of fun. I've never caught halibut, but have caught planty of Fluke (flounder) on the east coast. Yummm They are delicious, bake a filet with lemon and butter in aluminum foil. yum yummmm.... Or pan fry with flour... Would love to score a ride (open seat) on a halibut trip, will pitch in for fuel, food. Etc I have some Marlin, and tuna rods, maybe they will work for halibut??
tight lines, Dylan
