Default Funny Floating Object At Boat Ramp

While Woody and I were loading my boat on the trailer we saw a really strange sight. Right in the middle of the launching area was something kicking and paddling, a seal - nope, an otter - nope, it was a BOE in his new Rockit /suit. Strange but cool!!

Gee, thanks guys

I decided it was time to try out the rocket suit and the shake down run to bonny was a perfect time to see what I thought of the suit.

I have had it on a couple times in the house and it doesnt take long and I start to warm right up. I have had concerns about this thing being to hot and Saturday I didnt plan on sweating all day on the run to bonny. I wore my jeans and a cotton T shirt, with a very light sweatshirt under the suit thinking I would be warm.

WRONG!!! I about froze on the trip. The 25 mph head wind with no windshield was cold. It was nothing like sitting on the couch watching TV in the rocket suit.

Next time out I plan on wearing my exotherm1 fleece suit under the rocket suit. I can see I still have to wear it a couple more times to figure out how to dress under it.

Mid trip I was thinking the relief zipper might have been a bargain

The swim was interesting. I didnt get wet which was a good start. I had a hard time keeping my feet down. If I relaxed my feet wanted to swing out in front of me and I floated on my back. At least I didnt go head down I think I am going to like it, very secure feeling in it.

So, Roy, your plan is to wear that suite all day when you go out in the ocean? I thought they were like survival suites that you would put on in case of emergency. Interesting..... How restricting are they to your movements (no not those movements, but the kind when you are getting around the boat, etc.)?

Wow, bobber fishing with roy just got more fun. A giant Thill float, with eggs underneath you we are in Bizz!

Uh,,, no window...did i miss a boat purchase somewhere?

Got to keep the feet down... divers have to get checked out with dry suits for that reason as well as a few others, can be scary.

What does it take to get you up on a plane

A light set of ankle weights helps keep the feet down and most divers use a set 4 this purpose check your local dive shop

My first concern was that restricted movement would limit the time I wore the suit. NOT SO!

With street clothes underneath there was no restiction to movement. With fleece it would make the least restrictive clothing that you could wear. Bend, stretch, leg lifts, sit squat, no problems at all.
